The bath was never used, so it went. In its place, a generous walk-in shower enclosure, a wall-hung basin unit and a concealed cistern — three changes that made a modest room feel considerably larger.

Because we design from a selection of the best baths, basins, toilets and shower units, we had the maximum choice of models in both size and shape, which is what allowed the enclosure to run the full width of the wall.

A family needs a bath and a shower, and this room is not large enough for both separately — so the bath does double duty, with a fixed screen and an overhead shower above it.

Storage was the other request. A vanity unit under the basin swallows everything that used to sit on the windowsill.
